You know you’re “supposed” to read your Bible.
You want to WANT to read God’s Word.
Sometimes you just don’t know where to start…or how to re-start.
You need inspiration. You need tools. You need a friend to say, “Hey! Why don’t you start here!” Or, “I’m not sure what that means either, but did you read this?!”
That’s what I’m passionate about.
I’m Michelle Nezat, and I hope to inspire you to discover and meditate on God’s Word through the songs you listen to on the radio.
I love Jesus. I love God’s Word. And I want you to love them, too!
I’ve been creating new podcast episodes since 2014, taking songs that are playing on the radio and pointing my listeners back to God’s Word. My podcasts are not an editorial on the song. Sometimes I share the back story if I can find it, but I never lose sight of what is really important — getting into God’s Word and letting Scripture speak louder than any lyric.
The Bible is a big book. I get that. So, each week on my More Than a Song podcast, I give simple, practical tools to help you take a BITE out of Scripture. I call them Bible Interaction Tool Exercises…B.I.T.E. Get it? We’ll take on this overwhelming task one BITE at a time.
These are the same tools I use to keep my own Bible study time varied, fresh, and effective. My prayer for you is that you will have an unreasonable desire for God’s Word that will lead to an unsurpassable relationship with God Himself.
A little more about me… I’m a Cajun girl living in Louisiana, but I was born and raised in Idaho. I have been a follower of Christ for as long as I can remember, which has shaped my life the most. I am married to a strong, godly man with an entrepreneurial spirit and seemingly unlimited reserves of support for me. I have two gorgeous, creative, girls who keep me busy and inspired.
I am a marketer by education and by trade. I most recently served for a decade as the Director of Institutional Advancement at a local Christian school. I am an active member of my Bible-believing, gospel-preaching, community-serving church. I have a year of Bible college under my belt, but am a voracious reader and did not stop my education when I stopped taking formal classes.
I love coffee.
I love pie.
I love the lake.
I love writing.
(I love writing at the lake while sipping coffee and eating pie.)
I love speaking. (Click here to book me for your next event.)
I truly believe that if I can help you read your Bible for yourself the Holy Spirit can do the rest.
Let’s do this together.
